Terms of Service

Welcome to EMSConferences.com. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EMSConferences.com website and related services (the "Service"), operated by MED1 Technology LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

EMSConferences.com is a directory of emergency services conferences, a directory of professional conference speakers, and related community tools. Conference information is compiled from public sources and submissions by organizers and community members. While we work to keep listings accurate and current, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing. Always confirm dates, locations, registration details, and pricing with the conference organizer before making plans or purchases.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information when registering, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Speaker Profiles and User Content

Speakers may create or claim profiles containing biographical information, photos, speaking history, and related materials ("User Content"). You represent that you have the right to post your User Content and that it is accurate and not misleading. By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating and promoting the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content and may edit or remove it at any time through your account.

We may create basic, factual stub listings for speakers and conferences based on publicly available information (for example, a published conference agenda). If a listing about you exists and you would like to claim, correct, or remove it, contact us at the address below and we will respond promptly.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, infringing, or unlawful;
• Impersonate any person or claim a speaker profile that is not yours;
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download directory data without our written permission;
• Use the contact and booking features to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages unrelated to speaking engagements;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds

Standard speaker profiles are free. Certain additional features are offered through a paid annual Pro subscription. Prices are shown at the time of purchase. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your full payment card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically each year unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us; cancellation stops future renewals, and you retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period.

Refunds: If you are not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of your initial purchase or renewal charge for a full refund. After 14 days, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Promotional codes and free periods have no cash value.

The "Keynote" tier requires validation of keynote speaking history; we may decline or revoke the Keynote designation if validation criteria are not met, in which case we will offer the closest equivalent tier or a pro-rated refund of the difference.

6. Third-Party Content and Links

The Service links to conference websites, registration pages, and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites. Conference listings do not constitute an endorsement.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by MED1 Technology LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for your own User Content, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 9, and 10) will survive.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT LISTINGS ARE ACCURATE, THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT, BOOKING, OR BUSINESS RESULT WILL FOLLOW FROM USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MED1 TECHNOLOGY LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) IF YOU HAVE PAID NOTHING.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms here and update the "Last updated" date, and where appropriate notify account holders by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
